The House:
Laura’s Brother is a penthouse in a character house located in the heart of Rome. This two-room apartmets have a living room with kitchen with a sliding window on the terrace. The bedroom is on a small just next to the living room.
The building has been recently renovated and has only 3 floors. The capacity for this apartment is 3 person. The 20sqm terrace is the real value of this little gem for your dinners or brunches.

Location
The apartment is located in San Giovanni which is one of the oldest and strategic neighbours in Rome. The pope lived in San Giovanni until the 1500’s. For this reason San Giovanni in Laterano one of the oldest basilica ever built in Rome.
The neighbour has everything you need. Shops, Restaurants and clubs are all close to the apartment, and can be reached even by foot.
Transportation
The apartment is well connected with all the major transportation:
– Underground:
A Line: Ponte Lungo (500m) or Piazza Re Di Roma (650m)
– Train: Tuscolana stn (10 minutes walk) for all regional and national trains
– BUS: 87 and 649 that head to Trastevere, Campo de’ Fiori and Piazza Cavour

To get to the apartment using public transportation you can follow these instructions:
– FROM FIUMICINO AIRPORT (FCO):
Take the train towards Rome Termini STN. Tickets are available online at Trenitalia.
Get off at Termini Station and get the A Line towards ANAGNINA
Get off at Pontelungo and walk to the apartment

This airport is not well connected and travel times may vary depending on traffic conditions.
Get the VISION BUS at the airport towards Rome Termini STN

For both airports you can can buy tickets online at:
– Tourist Tax: 3,50 EUR per day per person. Children under 10 are not subject to pay the tax. This price needs to be paid in cash or credit card at the time of the check-in.
– Late Check-in:
21.00-22.00: There is an extra charge of 20 EUR to be paid in cash or credit at the time of the check-in.
After 22.00: Self-check-in no extra charge. I’ll give you the code to open the smart block.
– Special Room Setup Requests:
We usually offer accommodation for 2 people in a double bed. If you require different bed setups (eg 2 people in 2 single beds) please advise prior to the arrival date. We will do our best to satisfy your needs.
– Delays:
Please be aware that our staff will wait for you 40 minute after the check-in time. If you are aware of any delay (train or flight) please communicate the information as soon as possible, to have time to plan our arrival to the apartment. If we don’t hear anything from you we will leave the apartment.
– Smoking is not permitted in any part of the apartment except for balconies / terraces

These are simple rules that applies to the property. Broken furnitures, windows or any damaged parts may be taken out from the deposit amopunt.
– Private parties are not permitted. If a neighbour complains of excessive noise during your stay, we are entitled to make you leave the premise even before the end of your stay.
– Please lower the volume of any stereo player or similar after 23.00.
– Kindly throw the garbage before leaving the apartment.
– Please do not use more than 2 electrical appliances at the same time (the electrical system could not bear it)
– Turn off the heating, lights and air conditioning before leaving.
– Do not leave any dishes and cutlery dirty.
– Inform us as soon as possible of any damage.
– Undeclared persons are not permitted to stay during the day / overnight.

We had the most amazing stay in Laura's apartment!! I loved being able to get out of touristy Rome and live like the locals. Great restaurants near by and a huge plus for having "Pompi" close by. Super close to the metro and transportation was so easy/ quick. San Giovanni is a short walk and lovely to see. Great cafe called "foodie" on your way there. The apartment was perfect, kitchen had everything we needed and the terrace is to die for!! Laura was charismatic and helpful with her recommendations to us and lives in the building which is nice to know. Mirko booked us transportation which was super helpful. I would highly recommend this apt to anyone looking to explore Roma and can't wait to revisit!

Mirko was a great host. Everthing worked well and he answered messages very fast! He even organized a taxi for us at the airport und was very flexible with a change in our travel plans. The apartement is very pretty and has everything you need for a trip to Rome. Unfortunately the weather was too cold to enjoy the wunderful terrace that belongs to the appartement. Everything was clean and the location is very good. I can't complain about anything and can just say "Thank you Mirko"!

Mirko was great at replying to messages quickly before and during our stay, and we really loved the appartment. Having meals on the terrace with the Lateran in the distance was one of the highlights of the trip. The beds were both comfy and a good size, although the wooden steps up to the mezzanine floor were a little annoying. The area was great - just down the road from Pompi, the best tiramisu in Rome (confirmed).
